I reached out to LaCurtis early in the spring around April letting him know that I would begin the home buying process. He and I set up a call, and he immediately shoed his knowledge in asking probing questions and giving me realistic timeliness on the crazy Los Angeles market. He and I would on to put out about three offers with the final one being accepted. LaCurtis showed a tenacity to deal with listing agents and lenders, this was mixed with great customer service as we took a while to close due to external factors with the property. LaCurtis made this process seem like way less than the horror story that you hear from many firs time buyers, it was seamless thanks to him. He was attentive even though he had many clients, but I got the feeling that I was the top priority. If I buy again. I look forward to going to Mr. Sumlin.

When I was apartment hunting, I wasn't looking to work with a real estate agent since I didn't even know that was a thing for rentals, but I connected with LaCurtis after he showed me a place that was listed online, and then he inadvertantly became our agent from that point on because he made it so easy to schedule viewings for multiple listings at once. During one of our viewings, I had mentioned to him that there was a new place that was just listed that I had an appointment for the next morning, but just figured I'd ask if he'd be able to secure a listing for that evening. Within 5 minutes, he was able to schedule a viewing for 30 minutes later, and I truly believe that had we not been able to see this place that evening, we would not have gotten it. As soon as we saw the place, we knew we wanted it, and LaCurtis had the application over to us that evening, and made the process seamless. The landlords ended up receiving 4 applications for the house after the first night, and LaCurtis was able to speak to our behalf, and advise us of what additional documents we should provide to make our application the strongest. We not only ended up getting the house, but LaCurtis was even able to negotiate better rent for us as well. Once we got the keys, we ended up having a laundry list of issues with the house not being move-in ready, and even though LaCurtis's job was technically done when the rental agreement was signed, he still made himself available to us, and continued to communicate with the listing agent on our behalf. He never made us feel that we were being a nuissance, even as he was receiving calls from us at all hours of the day. I was so grateful to have LaCurtis on our side as our agent, and he truly went above and beyond (for what was just a rental)! I would whole-heartedly recommend him to anyone looking for a real estate agent!

LaCurtis saved me from the overwhelming task of apartment shopping in LA. When I first decided to move across town, I had no idea where to start; I had spent hours going through apartment listing websites and barely got any responses to actually do walkthroughs. When I was connected with LaCurtis, he immediately asked me what my budget and requirements were, and he exceeded my expectations with the spots he showed me. Because apartments go so fast in this city, he quickly got my application through and ultimately helped me lease a beautiful condo downtown (for a steal).
